Hello again!
The Dia De los Muertos Festival in downtown San José is truly must-attend event!
If you love Mexican culture, music, art, artisan vendors, and food, well, this event is am event for you. My family and I attend this event every year.
Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday in which we celebrate and honor our loved ones who have passed. And this festival is a good representation of these traditions.
The festival happens once a year and it never disappoints. They have a large variety of food trucks, vendors selling their handmade crafts, face painting, games, music, drinks, performances, live concerts, and more. The best part is seeing people in their stunning Dia de los Muertos costumes (people go all out). You will see men, women, and children dressed up as calaberas everywhere.
Feel free to get your face painted so you can get in on the fun too!
It’s usually inexpensive to attend. Last year the entrance was only $5.
I’d recommend you arrive early to avoid long lines! It sure does get busy there!
Below is their website as well as the Eventbrite page.
Really, you should go!
