Another one of my favorite local restaurants is Big E Cafe, a family-owned Peruvian cafe located in San Jose, CA. Big E Cafe serves delicious empanadas (stuffed pastries) as well as espresso drinks and teas.

The empanadas come in an array of flavors, savory and sweet. So, whether you’re in the mood for a breakfast empanadas with bacon and egg, or a lunch empanada with chicken and cilantro, or sweet empanada with apples and cranberries, you’re in for a treat.

The service here is also A+. Quick and friendly. Not to mention their coffee. Perfection! I would recommend you try their iced lavender vanilla latte. Ugh, to die for!
